Why Is My Hair Breaking?!?!

What causes hair breakage?
Did you know your hair gets Dehydrated? Well it does!!!

Aloe Vera - is a God given remedy!!!

We're suppose to shed about 200 hair strands daily, anything more than that - is a breakage.
There are many-many reasons why our Hair breaks; but I'm just gonna cover the basic reason that could be the cause.

Most common reason for Hair Breakage:
#1-One of the biggest reason of Hair breakage is Dehydration-dry and brittle hair
#2-Over-processed from Bleach, Hair Color and Chemicals such as relaxer and perms.
#3- Excessive use of Curling and Flat irons
#4- Brushing and Combing your hair while wet
#5- Tightening your Ponytails too tight and sleep with them
#6- Rubbing the towel too hard on your Hair

Manny hairdressers say that Curly Hair is a dry hair!
Well that's not true at all!
My hair is naturally curly and it was never dry - until I started using chemicals on it.

Truth is - Curly Hair is neither oily nor dry.
Naturally Curly Hair has a very thin strand and it's soft as cotton.
Due to the fact that it's strand is so thin and extremely soft it cannot withstand too much chemical abuse.
The less chemical, the less alcohol hair products and the less heat the healthier it stays.

I've never in my life experimented a hair breakage on my hair - until last year.
I had some highlights done back-to-back because they did it too big and I din't like it, so they had to fix it - and I almost went bold! Organic home made treatment brought my hair back. I'll post the others after.

Weakness in the hair shaft can be caused by excessive chemicals
Hair breakage is cause by Damage to the hair shaft
An overuse of hair product can cause Seborrheic dermatitis
It's a condition that causes a dry scalp caused by the overproduction and residue of sebum
Sebum begins on the scalp with the appearance of dandruff and it can be very itchy and causing hair to become brittle.

One of the Solutions:
#1- A #1 natural with no side-affects and inexpensive nourishment for your Hair is Aloe Vera plant. Real Aloe Vera not store bought.
It's a natural remedy given by God which can promote healthy hair growth by providing moisture, nutrients, volume and healing to the scalp from conditions such as scalp inflammation and seborrheic dermatitis.

Use the Aloe leaf directly from the plant
I buy a leaf at the grocery store for less than $2 - cut it in half, rub the juice of it on your scalp first then your hair, let it sit for about 15-30 min than rinse and shampoo.

Shampoo
Try not to shampoo your hair more than once or twice a week
If you need to wash more than that, wet your hair rub some conditioner on it and then rinse
Try using your fingers or a large tooth comb to comb your hair while wet
To dry - squeeze out as much water with your hand and than use paper towel to dry it instead of towel.

For dry and itchy scalp or Hair breakage Curly or not:
Avoid:
using too much dry shampoo
any hair products with alcohol
store box hair dye

  2. Yes; even though you don't have a breakage or dry itchy scalp you still should. Because you use chemicals on your hair (relaxer and highlights) you should use it to maintain your hair nice and healthy. if you want your supple and Shinny Aloe Vera is the answer.

  3. Suzy or pretty~face :-)) hair is very fragile when wet.
Think of the plant~ what happens when you over water it?
The roots gets rotten and it dies ~ same happens to your hair!

Blowdrying it does help either. Roller-set it, allow it to dry naturally or use a defuser.
