Heatless Beach Waves
You can work with your hair while still wet or you can allow it to air dry. But I think rope twist on a damp hair is a better option to achieve those beautiful effortless look of beach waves. It gives you a softer wave with no crimping marks. But of course every hair reacts differently, you gone have to play around a little with yours to see what you like best.  Try to let it air dry one time, and next time try it wet and see which outcome you like the most. Make a mid parting and divide your hair in two sections. You can  rope twist braids, french braids or dutch braids, secure both braids with a rubber elastic, tight enough not to slip out but not too tight to break your hair.

Do this before going to sleep and take them out in the morning.
You can also do it in the morning if you have enough time, but overnight will give you more curls.
If you hair is really thick and you have doubts that it might not be dry enough, put some heat protectant in your hair prior to twisting and give your braids a quick blow dry toward the end, let it cool and then take the braids out. Now all you do is run your fingers through it, spray a little sea salt spray, a little shine serum if your hair is not too fine; and you're done!

You can wash your hair let it air dry so that's almost all the way dry but still a little damp, spray it with just water and and tie your hair back into a donut bun with a scrunchy or pins just like this girl did. Let it stand overnight and loosen it out in the morning and done! Look how gorgeous her girls look. Can a hairstyle get any simpler than this?

The Scrunching Method

Mix and spray on damp hair. Scrunch with your hands as your hair air dries, or use a blowdryer, scrunching hair in your palms from below.
