How To Dress Classy "N" Stylish In Your 30s

Once we reach our 30s, everything changes.

Our body and state of mind is not the same anymore.
But are you allowing the tumult of your 30s affecting your fashion sense?
Well if it is than please read along, it'll probably help you.

Many women gets lost in their 30s with their sense of style because they don't want to look like a teenager, and don't want to look like a grandma either. That's were all the confusion comes from. So instead they just throw their jeans, sweat pants and T-shirts on and they're out the door. Some women in the pursuit of looking young and attractive are just walking around in their Birthday suit. No woman wants to look old and unattractive, it's in our gens, but there's a huge difference between looking young and stylish and looking foolish and trashy.

We're more mature in our 30s, our state of mind is not the same.
We have far more things going on for us than we did in our 20s.
In our 20s, our mind still worked as if we're still a teenager, everything was fun, fun, and more fun. With our body nice and tight, everything in its proper place, if you know what I mean - : )  with a minor effort any and everything looked good.  Now that gravity is taking affect, and slow metabolism is taking it's toll, clothes don't fit beautifully as they once did. Or maybe you had a baby and packed-up few pounds and your beautiful curves are not the same. Been there.... - : )))

Not to mention, that in your 30s you have much more important responsibilities to worry about than  fashion. You probably have husband and children to care for, thinking about taking your career a bit more seriously, trying to finish your degree or pay off your student loans, and so on and so forth.

Do You Want Reason To Look Good
You should look good for your self first, your husband will be proud of you in front of his friends,  your children will be proud of you when you come to pick them up at school, you want your boss to be happy that he can count on you, that you're on his team looking good and professional ready to work etc, etc.

Classy Looks Are Forever
When you're in your 20s everything is trendy, what's hot at the moment, once you reach your 30s, it doesn't mean you have to look like a grandma, but you shouldn't look scrubby or walk around in your birthday suit either. All you need  to do is focus more on classy investment pieces. When you out shopping always remember that Classy looks are for ever.

What are investment pieces?
Investment pieces means- quality over quantity. Pieces that never goes out of style.
That means instead of walking out of the store with two or three cheap dress- pick ONE with a higher price tag, (as high as you can afford of course) that has a better fit and fabric that won't wear off after couple wash or be outdated for a long time. Classic pieces are more expensive but you'll get your money's worth because you'll get much more miles out of them.

Someone sent me an email asking me for ideas on how to dress on her 30s
So, I'm gone give you lists of clothes that I think every women in her 30s should have in their closets.

Must have Dresses that will make you look classy and sassy in your 30s
All you need is some carefree classic pieces that will make you look stylish without breaking the bank or sacrificing much of your time. Classic pieces never goes out of style so you don't have to be buying clothes all the time. Just because you're in your 30s doesn't mean you cannot dress fun and flirty, just add a touch of classiness to it.

#1- Must Have
Wrap and Shift Dresses are # 1 outfit that every women in her 30s should have in her wardrobe
These dresses are pretty and elegant that can take you from running after your children, to work, to a night out with your friends or hubby with class.

A Wrap Dress (the only dress for every shape)
#1 dress that every woman should have in their closet
It's a classy and suitable dress for every women's shape and age
It can go from day to night with just a little touch.
It's a forgiven friendly dress that allows you to hide few pounds without anyone noticing
Its comfortable,  and time saver because it's wrinkle free fabric so you don't have to be ironing, is not only perfect for traveling, but accentuates your curve perfectly no matter what your size is. The most girly dress ever for every women, no matter your size or age. It's a feminine dress.

For your first ones try to get it in neutral colors such as: black, navy blue, gray or brown. You can get much more miles out of them. Bright color are beautiful but they're limited. For example you can wear a black dress two days in a row with a different pair of shoes and jewelry, and people will never notice. Not so with a bright color dress, the moment you walk in the room everyone will know you're wearing the same dress.

The Shift Dress

I think the appropriate length of your dress/skirt should be knee length, if its shorter use a black stocking like this grey one.

Comfortable and chick.
There's nothing more uncomfortable and more unattractive that ill fitting clothes.
You can wear them with a pair of sandals/wedges or with stoking and ballet flats, or a nice pair of heels.

To be continued.........

"Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained". Samuel 2:30

I think a woman should be modern, stylish and sassy, but I don't think it should be the core of our life. Yes, it should be a fun and joyous moment between you - yourself and your personality, but not 'the' most important thing in life. I believe that our main worries in life should be on how to honor our Lord, because when we do honor Him he will take care all the rest.

Best Summer Lipstick Colors For Every Women

These are some of the best Summer Lipstick colors.
They don't have to be Mac, although these colors are amazing. I also love Estee Lauder, YSL's  collection as well. These colors look great in every women's shade especially Brown/bronze or Yellowee/orangee tanned color. With our skin-color the sky is the limit when it comes to make-up. With a nice tanned complexion anything looks good on you, you just have to make it work. If you work the lips, don't work the eyes, if you work the eyes don't work the lips. You don't want them both fighting for attention.
All these colors look amazingly in Black Girls.

I love red lipsticks in Winter time. I think it's very girly and romantic but I also think it's too heavy for summer. If you want to use it try it at night. In the summer I think the hot sunny days calls for a tropical look. It gives you an illusion of a nicely tanned face. Flowery dresses and bright color Lipstick or simply nude colors. It doesn't have to be Mac, I just like these colors, plus the lipsticks are really nice and creamy a perfect moisturizer for your lips on those hot summer days.
You should give them a try.

Oranges
I Love
anything Orange  in the summer, the sunny hot summer days just calls for it.

Corals

Pink is the most girly lipstick ever. These pinks are beautiful for summer
                                              Pinks

I love these Nudes

Violetta

I love it it's really pretty.

"Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak". Mathew 26:41

Jesus said for us to watch and pray because the flesh is weak, if watching and praying our flesh is still weak, can you imaging what happens if we stop watching and praying?

Best Summer Up-Dos For Every Hair & Face Shape

For me summer is all about beautiful up-dos. I've selected a group of simple and beautiful summer hair styles for every face shape and hair type. They're all do-it-yourself hair styles, so you can look beautiful in the heat and save money at the same time.

Who wants their hair in their face with 100* out there. In these hot and humid days there's nothing more cooling and romantic than your hair brushed out of your face. Just pick the one that suits you best.

This is my daughter Elise, she did this summer style all by her self. She just comb her hair to the side and pined it with some bobby pins, made some pin curls with her fingers and hold it with some pins and sat under the dryer. Once the hair is dry remove the pins and you have beautiful curls that will last you all day. You can do pin curls on any hair length.

They come in different colors and molds

If you don't have enough hair use a sponge Donut to give you more volume or simply use a fake Bun.

Just tie your hair into a ponytail insert the sponge Donut cover it with your hair and stick the end of your hair under the sponge and fasten it with bobby pins.

For this beautiful and stylish look, (especially in the summer), all you need to do is add a little bit of gel for sleekness making sure the edges are nice and smooth, twist the front of your hair, brush the back up into a ponytail and curl the ends if your hair is long enough. If your hair is not long enough attach a fake ponytail and do the banana curls. Banana curls means big closed curls.

Allow your hair to dry curly and then pin up the back. If you want a dressier look as for a wedding or prom just add some hair jewel like so.

Skinny Hairline Braids
Part your hair in the middle, add some cream leave-in conditioner frizz control. For a sleek look. Starting at the temple gives you a more classy look. French braid nice and firm keeping it close to the hairline. Do not add section of the hair over each other, add them under so you can have a nice corn row effect. Braid it all the way to the back of your head, secure the end with those tiny elastics and repeat the other side. Once you're finished, twist them together into a bun and add a little hairspray. And you got yourself a beautiful and easy hair do. For a more casual look like Jessica Alba, part in the middle and start your braids in the middle with a natural messy finger comb kind of style and a messy wrap bun.

Two beautiful pigtail braids
For this Look, all you need to do is:
part your hair in the middle making two sections, brush your hair and make two low braids and then overlap them one over the other and pin it with hair pins.

Very simple but yet very pretty with a romantic look.

Beautiful Beret
A beautiful hair jewel can make a world of difference. Look what a difference this beautiful hair tie made to this simple low ponytail, comparing to a scrunchy. Sometimes all you need is a beautiful hair jewel. It really makes a big difference in those bad heir days
when you just don't know what to do to your hair.
Flower Bun
How simple romantic and inexpensive is this.It can be worn for  a wedding, a prom, a classy event or just hanging out with your friends. Just tie your hair back adding a donut sponge for fulness and some beautiful flowers color of your choice depending on the occasion.

Triple Ponytail                   Very simple and yet very sophisticated. You can make a messy casual one to wear with your jeans or you can make a nice and sleek one like this that can take you anywhere from a prom to a wedding.
All you need to do is divide your hair into three sections, small, medium and large. Starting from the nape, tie the smaller one first, then the middle one, and the top last, each individually.  Now join the top to the middle one and then both together to the smallest one. You can use a clear or your hair color elastic, or you can wrap a piece of electrical tape around the elastic for a chicer look. It's very simple and very pretty, and it can be done with basically any hair length

Now how cute and simple is this? I use to wear my hair like this all the time back in the 70's. You can twist one side like this one you can twist both sides and have them meet in the middle. It can be done with any type hair or texture, long or shoulder length.

"It is more blessed to give than to receive." Acts 20:35
I don't know about you guys, but me, I'm a giver. I've always been like this since I was a child. I enjoy seeing the joy in a person's face much more than receiving.

How To Do A Wet Wrap

The wet wrap is 'The' best hair style in the summer, especially if you have short hair.
The reason I'm repeating my self over and over again, is because my daughters keep on telling me that I have to simplify things as style for Dummies. Meaning simple enough so every one can understand. There are tons of professional blogs out there but sometimes they're way too complicated. So my goal is to take the ideas, chew 'hem-up and and give to you in the language you can understand.

My beautiful daughter Elise sporting her wet wrap.
She loved it so much because it was easy to maintain and really cool for the hot summer days.
Give it a try, you'll love it as well.

End Papers
You can use them on the tips of
your hair when you roller set your hair
so you don't get those fish hook curls.
Meaning frizzy ends going every directions.
Lottabody Setting Lotion
Perfet for roller settings and wet wraps.

Boar Bristle Brush

This brush is one of the best brush for African American hair. But avoid brushing excessively.
Make sure to get the one made from  wild boar/hog hair. It's a bit more expensive but it's worth the money because it's a lot more kind to your hair and it spreads your natural's oil much better. The synthetic ones (made out of plastic) is cheaper but it causes breakage because it's too hush to your hair.
If you have African American hair, you should never use it to detangle your hair, or it will result  in hair breakage. It should only be used to smooth your hair as in a wet wrap, into a ponytail, polish your look, working in gel into your edges and hair when you're making a puff or a bun.
How to know the difference between them two? Just run your hands through it, the real one should be softer and it should not shed.

"Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do". James 1:8
