How can we master Fashion Trends God's way? With a spiritual strategy!
It's simple ~ just use the strategies of Counter - Trends!
To follow Fashion Trends is not a sin ~ allowing it to control us ~ that's a sin
The only way for a woman of God to master Fashion Trends is to focus on her Principals
Because we're a woman of God ~ it doesn't mean we have to be Old-fashioned and Out-dated on our Styles and appearance.
We can move with the world ~ but we can not belong to it
So, how then can we live in this world and enjoy all the Fashionable Trends like everyone-else without allowing it to consume us?
#1- Is to know who we are
#2- Is to know whom we represent and trying to please
Once we've focused on this two principals ~ than we'll come up with two Self- Challenge:
Vertical Counter-Trends ~Against ~ Horizontal Trends
a)-vertical counter trend ~ means your priority is pleasing God
b)-horizontal trend ~ means your priority is to Fit-in with the Crowd
To Counter-Trends ~ is to go agains it, go around it, make a way, find a way to make it work your way!
When our concern is to please God, we'll find a way to manipulate the Fashion Trends making it our way ~ that's what I call Counter-Trends
We capture the idea ~ and we add a little twist to it
For example:
a)- if see-through clothes is the hot trends ~ wear it with an under shirt
b)-if the cut is way too small ~ buy it few sizes bigger
c)-if the blouse is too short ~ layer it with a longer blouse underneath
d)-if every one is wearing skinny jeans ~ wear it with those mini dresses or a heap length loose blouse
If everyone else is maximizing their credit cards going bankruptcy with those outrageous name brands ticket prices just to Fit-in, for the sake of Fashion ~
We in the hands because we have no concerns in Fitting-in, we find a way to do it within our limits, keeping it simple and our minds focused on what's more important but ~ still looking great by using our head and taking advantages of Sales.
So who said a woman of God can't follow Fashion Trends? huh who said?
"A wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down".
