How About A Fashion Detox for Your Closet!!! :-)))

Did you know we need three types of Detoxication in order to have a healthy happy living?

#1- A Spiritual Detox
"Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the father is not in him. For everything in the world - the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does - comes not from the father but from the world." 1John 2.15
stop doing things out of obligation ~ but out of love, everything doesn't have to be Yes ~ No is also an answer, spend time with yourself, let go those painful remnants of the past, depression, anger, anxiety, addictions, bad habits, self-blame, more love and concerns for the worldly things then for the things of God, etc...

#2- A Physical Detox
To purify the body of all those unhealthy accumulated wastes and toxins we put in our body daily that endangers our wellbeing. It can also help you achieve a healthier skin.

#3- A Fashion Closet Detox
Is your closet overflowing and messy?
Does your closet mimmic your lifestyle?  Is it a Mayhem?  Does it look like this?

If your closet looks half way as this one does then you seriously need an emergency detox!
Now tell me how can you find anything to wear in this mayhem of clothes and shoes?
I'm sorry, but it looks like a fashion puke!!!  A fashion indigestion!!!

Let's face it girls not all of us can have the closet of our dreams; but no matter how small it is, it should never look like this. Besides the neater you organize it the more room you'll have!

Why look like this ☝ ~  when it should look like this ☟!

It has been proven that human beings function much better with visualization.
First we must envisage it by forming a mental image of the look we want before we even dress up. If you can barely get into your closet how would you know what to wear? Besides if you can't see it you'll forget what you have. Many women wears the same clothes over and over again just because it's easier reached. Others prefer to run their credit cards dry, buying and buying more clothes just because they can't find what they already have. Instead spending your money on one more pair of shoes, or one more pair of jeans, why don't you use that money and buy some closet organizers?

Here we go:
1- Take everything out of your close. I mean everything....
If you think it's tedious or don't have the time in your hand, start with those outdated outfits that has been in there for ages, the ones that don't fit and the ones you rarely use.

☞ 2- Separate them in three (3) piles
a)  love, love, love
b) love once in a while
c) those out-dated ones, the ones you're tired off, and the ones that don't fit

b) love
a) love, love, love

c) outdated, tired and don't fit
3- Now join your love, love, love & love piles together

4- After you have sorted all of them categorize them by style like so
a) all dresses
b) all blouses
c) all skirts
d) city shorts/ capri
e) and all pants

☞ 5- Your (c) pile, those out-dated, tired off and ill-fitting ones

for different reasons such as: you simply grew out of them, you lost or gain weight.
You can either donate them, exchange them with some of your friends, sell them to a consignment store or storage them until you decide what to do with them. Trust me, you will enjoy the extra space in your close!

Try these XL vacum seal space bags, they're great to put away those extra clothes. It can easily be stored under the bed hassle free.

6- You should be able to see all your shoes at once

With so many easy and inexpensive ways to organize your shoes, why should they be throwing on the floor? You can use clear shoe boxes, or under the bed clear/vinyl shoe storage bags, neatly organized on a floor shoe rack, over the wire rack, so you can easily see them. Any one of these method will do just fine.

7- All your belts and scarfs should be hung together or nicely rolled

 8- Hang your Purses/Bags
If there's one thing I hate is my purse on the floor! Every one who knows me they know not to put my purse on the floor. Don't mess with my purse! Why spend so much money on those purses only to have them thrown on the floor? Do you know how nasty that is? When I see a woman throwing her purse on those nasty public restrooms' floor I feel so disgust!  Check this site out! If you do I guarantee you'll never sit your purse on the floor again.

These little purse hooks are so cute! The best thing about them, is that you can use them indoor and out. They're so cute and inexpensive, they run anywhere from $5 to $20. You can use them in your closets, and you can carry one with you so you don't ever have to throw your purse on the floor again. Especially in the public restrooms!

9 - All your jewelry neatly organized
a)- all the earrings together
b)- all the necklaces
You can make this yourself
c)- all the bracelets
d)- and all your rings

How cool and inexpensive is this?

A paper towel holder for your bracelets.

10- Your Basics: underwear,  socks and stockings and T-shirts
a draw for each one or a pretty closet box like these

A draw/box  just for your underwear
A draw/box  just for your socks and stockings
A draw/box  just for your T-shirts

To be continued......

  1. Good Morning Ms. Elise even tho my closet is nice and clean everything is hanging up I never thought about putting everything according to color, the season also the tee shirts I love the tee shirts so I am going to change my drawers. I mean the tee-shirts I stack them one on top of the other by color but this way I can see them all at once. That I really like.
