Dandruff is very common it affects more than 50% of the population in the USA.
It's a scalp disorder that affects many people, independent of age or hair type.
Many people affected by dandruff find that it can cause social or self-esteem problems.

It can also be caused by stress, dry scalp, chemical abuse or poor diet.
But if your scalp is red or very itchy or scabby you should see your doctor.
Abusive use of hair gels, hair spray and harsh chemicals can dry your scalp resulting in itchy scalp, dandruff and hair breakage.
