I wore this trend back in the 70's and you couldn't tell me I wasn't beautiful.
But would I or you wear it today?
I had my first platform pair of shoes when I was around 15y, and I remember, it was so high, I couldn't even walk on them, I was holding on the wall as I dragged my self along but wouldn't take them off for nothing in the world because it was the Trend!!!
My cousin use to wear his bell-bottom so wide, that one day his foot got caught on the edge of his pants and he fell flat on his face. :-)))*

A person with Style:
A person with a personal Style is a leader, who knows what they want and like and no-one can tell them otherwise. Style comes from within and its the clothing chosen in the stores by one's taste and what suits and flatters one's personality and body shape.
A person with Style of their own may see the trend they like and will capture the idea put a little twist to it and may even add it to their wardrobe, but in their own way.
A person with their own personal Style is always in-fashion and admired by everyone everywhere they go because of their individuality and self-confidence.
A person with self Style could care less if their wallet can afford those expensive name brands because with their sel-confidense and personal Style they'll make it work and for sure make a statement with whatever they can afford, because taste is better than money.
A Trendy person:
For example is the style that everyone is wearing!
Where are those crazy shoulder pads and colorful clothes of the 80's?
So do you see now what I'm talking about, it comes and it goes just as fast!
Fashion/trend means what's ~ in ~ this season, and what the Fashion Icons are wearing, That doesn't mean we have to follow.
Although it's much more common for people to be Trendy especially teenagers, we should always strive to be a Stylist and a Fashionista of our own body type and lifestyle.
A Trendy person means they're a follower who has no idea of what they like or suits their body shape and are afraid to take chances or make mistakes, so they take the easy way out by being a copycats. They'll keep up with all the trend of the moment wether its appropriate or not, could care less if it looks good on them or not as long as they inherit the name Trendy. That means you're a follower who just wanna be hippie and go with the flow.
They want to be immediately recognized for the Fashion shown on Run Ways, Magazines or as seen in Stores.A Trendy person all look the same except: colors and quality difference.Those who have money will buy those expensive name brands, and the less fortunate ones will try to imitate it with those cheap knock-offs qualities.
We're the ones to decide what we should or shouldn't wear not the Fashion industries, Icons, Media, Run Ways or anyone else for that matter!!!
