My friend Suzy asked: What if your hair is all of the above?
I thought maybe some of you guys may have the same question but are shy to ask. So I decided to answer it here. Who knows it might serve the purpose for someone else.
If you hair is all of the above: you can heal and save it with these inexpensive organic products that comes right out of your kitchen
#1- first and upmost thing you should do is to make sure the relaxer you're using is not too strong for your hair texture
#2-try to relax your hair only when you really need it, at least every two months or so, your hair could be over-processed
#3- make sure they're not leaving the relaxer or any other chemical you use on your hair too long
#4-stay away from products with drying alcohol
#5-try these home made treatment every week, apply a different one each week
#6-do not wash or wet your hair everyday, by doing so, you're striping away all the natural oil from your hair witch is essential for your scalp and hair
#7-do not comb or brush your hair while wet ~ use your fingers or slightly comb it with a large tooth comb carefully starting at the nape from the end to the roots
#8-avoid drying your hair with towel it's too rough, use paper towel instead
#9- avoid blowdrying your hair, the pulling of the brush breaks your fragile and damaged hair and the blow dryer heat is too direct, it burns and dry s your hair
#10-apply some serum for shine and frizz control, and a leave in conditioner like INFUSION 23 and allow your hair to dry naturally ( you can find INFUSION 23 at Sally's Beauty Supply)
#11-you can roller-set your hair and let it dry naturally if you're home all day because it'll take few hours to dry and use plastic rollers
#12-the best thing is to invest on a head Dryer
it only costs about $30.00, you can buy it with the money you save on one Saloon's visit
it'll serve you well, I can guarantee you that.

"As a dog returns to it's vomit, so a fool repeats his folly". Proverbs 26:11
Yes this is true. Everyone out there that uses relaxer and colors their hair. When you color your hair, make sure you wait a long while before relaxing it again. Seriously! I almost went bold because I didn't want to wait enough and half my hair fell out. I was forced to cut it...
ReplyDeleteP.S: That hair dryer is so worth it. Go out and get it. If you didn't get one by now, I don't know what you waiting for. Best investment out there...Go get one! Mind you, Hair dryer, not blow dryer
Unless it's a medical condition ~ our hair only breaks when abused.
ReplyDeleteThat's like your hair yelling back at you ~ enough is enough!!!
